Blood and Bloody Ashes!
ingredients
directions
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoon matcha powder
1 egg
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
granulated sugar, for rolling
Using a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream together softened butter, sugar, and matcha until smooth - about 3 minutes. Add egg and mix until incorporated.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Add dry mixture to mixing bowl. Mix on low speed until dough forms, scraping sides as needed. Do not over mix.
Cover and refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Roll dough into a ball and coat with granulated sugar. Place cookie balls 2 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 13-15 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet.
